Veldfire Management Plan

A VMP details measures to mitigate the damage associated with wild veldfires. These plans are compiled for specific areas and can include components such as objectives, legal frameworks, risk assessment, prevention, preparedness, and response and recovery actions.

Veldfire Risk Assessment

A VRA is a process conducted to identify the main hazards and risks threatening a property from veldfires. Risk is assessed and a rating from low to extreme is provided. The key goal of a VRA is to offer recommendations to improve the risk rating where necessary.

Wildfire

Wildfire Cause & Origin Investigation

A COI is a systematic process conducted to determine the cause and origin of a veldfire. Investigators examine physical evidence at the veldfire scene, such as burn patterns, ignition sources, and environmental conditions, to determine the origin of the fire.
